Rulebooks & League Policies

6 questions in this category

Are there separate rulebooks for each game?
Yes. C3 maintains a General Rulebook and individual rulebooks for Rocket League, Valorant, and Overwatch. Participants are responsible for following both the General Rulebook and their applicable game rules.
Can rules change during a season?
Yes. C3 may update rules or procedures when necessary. Teams should regularly review official announcements for changes.
How do BYEs and tiebreakers work?
**BYE Weeks**: A scheduled BYE counts as one match win toward a team's regular-season record. BYEs do not affect game differential or goal differential. **Tiebreakers**: If teams finish with the same match record, standings are determined in the following order: 1. Match Record Against Tied Teams 2. Game Differential Against Tied Teams 3. Overall Game Differential 4. Goal Differential Against Tied Teams 5. Overall Goal Differential If a tiebreaker cannot be applied because the tied teams did not play each other, that criterion is skipped and the next applicable tiebreaker is used. These rules determine final standings and playoff qualification when teams finish with identical match records.
What if a rule is unclear or not covered in the rulebook?
Contact C3 League Operations for clarification. League Operations maintains final authority over rule interpretation, exceptions, and competitive rulings.
